Cavity Wall Insulation Extraction Laois

Extracting Old Insulation From Exterior Walls In Laois

Over the years, the insulation sitting inside a cavity wall can deteriorate, settle or get completely waterlogged, and once that happens it loses all effectiveness and can actually start pulling moisture across the wall and straight into your home.

Cavity wall extraction is all about fully removing that failed or damaged material from the cavity so the wall gets a proper chance to dry out and, where it makes sense, be refilled with a fresh, high quality product. It is something we do on a regular basis for homeowners right across Laois who are struggling with damp patches, cold walls or heating bills that just keep climbing.

We can remove all kinds of insulation material during the extraction process, including mineral wool, foam, polystyrene beads and more, which helps to stop thermal bridging from becoming a problem.

To get the old insulation out, we take out a small number of bricks at carefully chosen points along the wall and push compressed air into the cavity, breaking the old material apart and pushing it downwards. At the same time a heavy duty industrial vacuum picks up the waste as it comes down, clearing the cavity from top to bottom without causing any disruption to the structure of your home.

Once the wall is fully cleared out, we put the brickwork back in place and, if you would like, refill the clean dry cavity with brand new insulation.

Alongside cavity extraction, we also offer other services including cavity wall insulations in Laois, attic insulation and plenty more besides.

Every extraction job is carried out by an experienced, fully insured team who make sure the site is left clean and tidy once the work is done.
